Duct Cleaning
Is the air in your home making you sick?
Recent studies have revealed some alarming statistics about the air we breathe indoors, it may be 10 to 100 times more polluted than the air outside. If it is in your air ducts, it could be in your lungs!
Dust, pollen, dust mites, animal dander, could be collecting in your ducts. Of course, one of the first line therapies in the treatment of allergies and asthma is the avoidance of offending allergens. Heating and air conditioning systems have been established as harbors of molds and certainly with vents in every room this same system is an efficient distribution system.
Advantages of a thorough duct and furnace cleaning
- Efficiency: It is normal to have dust, dirt, and pollen accumulate in your furnace, but these things affect its operation. After it is cleaned you may notice that it uses less fuel, and that it heats and cools more effectively.
- Safety: The combustion chamber, vent pipe, and chimney base of a furnace or boiler must be kept clear of soot and debris, for safety as well as efficiency.
- Frequency: Your furnace will not need to be cleaned as often if it is done thoroughly. Depending upon the type of equipment you have and your personal preference, many homes do not need cleaning but once every two or three years. What we do: Powerful suction is applied to your furnace and duct work by extending a large hose from our Power Vacuum Truck. All ducts are individually cleaned using compressed air, and/or other special tools as needed to remove dust, dirt and other debris. If you have exposed duct work, we may make small access holes. These are covered when we have completed the job.
- How long does it take: A thorough cleaning can take anywhere between two to eight hours, depending upon many factors. For more details, please call our representatives who can answer any questions or concerns you may have.
